I've tried a similar "experiment" and reached a similar conclusion - GMail, GMaps, Spotify, G/Workspace, G/Assistant, etc... - just work so much better.
While I'm a dedicated MacBook user - I struggle why don't I switch from iPhone to Pixel 7 Pro? If I'm using the "alternate" apps - why not run them on a phone platform that really leverages their functionality?
